October 3, 2009 marked a significant day for our compassionate ministry. This was our 1st Annual 5K Run/Walk hosted by the ROCC, with all funds being used for Thanksgiving and Christmas food baskets for families in need this holiday season. We know and realize there is no greater gift than that which you can gift another who is hurting, down and out, possibly lost a job this year, just trying to survive and feed their family. This is the reason for our run this year, which will start the path for many years to come.

Although we were small in numbers our first year, the rewards will be much greater as we see smiling faces of moms and dads and children that do not have to go without this very difficult time of year as winter sets in.

We want to thank each and every sponsor, every runner, and every volunteer that made this day possible. Praise the Lord for each family that comes through our doors that we can give them the Bread of Life that they may Never Thirst Again!

Thanksgiving 2009: The ROCC provided Thanksgiving food baskets for 12 families during this special holiday season. Each basket contained several food items, as well as, a ham or turkey.

Christmas 2009: The ROCC provided Christmas food baskets for 13 families during this special time of year when so many people are struggling to just feed their families. Each basket contained several food items, as well as, a ham and hamburger meat. We would like to thank Gibson Packing for donating the hamburger meat provided in these baskets.
